Why am I seeing a specialist endodontist?

Your dentist has asked that we see you to assist with saving a tooth.

A specialist endodontist has chosen to specialise in this field only and has completed several years of additional study after qualifying as a dentist.

They have a vast range of techniques and knowledge. An operating microscope also assists in reaching an excellent end result.

What will my treatment entail?

Having root canal treatment feels very similar to having a simple filling. You will first be numbed using local anaesthetic.

Tiny instruments are used to gently clean the inside of the roots of your tooth. This void is then filled with an inert material.

Sometimes root canal treatment can be completed in one visit. Sometimes a second visit is required. There is no extra charge for a second visit.
