Our patients find sedation to be a pleasant experience.

Sedation helps you to be much less anxious and perhaps a little sleepy as the sedation progresses.

Our experienced team will gauge the correct degree of sedation you need, on an individual basis.

This is not a General Anaesthetic. During the procedure you will feel peaceful and largely unaware of what is going on. You will be able to communicate with our staff at all times. Most people remember very little about their treatment.

The sedation effects will gradually reduce afterwards and you will be given some time in the recovery room to relax. When you have recovered, you will be able to walk unaided to your transport but you must then have a restful day at home under the care of your responsible adult.

Your dentist can request a sedation assessment for you when they refer you or you can request this when we contact you later.
