This is done simply using cryotherapy (freezing) or by surgical excision with local anaesthetic. We usually offer a single visit for assessment and treatment. Repeat visits are sometimes required.

There should be no, or very little, bleeding and you can carry on with your day as normal. The area will feel sore and tight for several days afterwards and can be managed with regular over-the-counter pain relief such as paracetamol and ibuprofen. Sometimes we will ask you to apply an emollient to certain sites on the body.
